To switch On/Off3G on Honor 9 apply this procedure:
1) Go to Settings
2) Hit More
3) Choose Mobile network

Actually, there are several ways to know if 3G function is available on Honor 9 or not. But these two common ways are working on both iOS and Android operating systems:

On the top of your Honor9 screen there will be a small icon refers to 3G.
Way-2
Here you need to do the following steps:
1) Dial *#06# on your phone to get Honor 9 IMEI number.
2) Go to www.imei.info, type your IMEI number and select Check.
3) You’ll see a report. Look at the LTE section – it will display all the frequencies that are supported by your phone. 3G service works on the 2100MHz frequency, so if you see the number 2100, then your Honor9 is 3G compatible.
